Why are My Floors Not Level

Concrete stumps defective

When I bought my house, I knew that the floors were not level. But, I didn’t think it would be a big deal. Boy, was I wrong! Every time I move something, it ends up sliding to one side or the other. And trying to put furniture in certain spots is practically impossible.

So why are my floors so uneven? There are many reasons. The foundation may not have been poured correctly, or maybe the subfloor isn’t stable. It could also be caused by settling over time, or even by tree roots growing underneath the flooring.

Whatever the reason, fixing it can be expensive and complicated. If you’re lucky, your floor may only need to be levelled with shims- small pieces of wood that are inserted under the legs of furniture or between boards to make them level. But more often than not, a complete re-leveling job is required, which means lifting all the flooring and correcting any problems with the foundation or subfloor.

If you’re dealing with an uneven floor, don’t despair! There are ways to workaround the problem until you can afford to fix it properly. Just be careful when moving heavy objects around and try not to place anything in precarious positions.

Having uneven floor boards does not mean that there is a structural issue possibly minor or major depending on the condition of stumps, easy repair by re blockers as long as there is access to rectify .

The House has Timber Stumps

Having timber stumps can cause problems in your house

– the main one being that your house is not level. This can cause many problems, from uneven floors to doors that don’t close properly.

If you have timber stumps, it’s important to get them treated as soon as possible. Not only will this make your house more stable and prevent any further damage, but it will also increase the value of your property. Treatment is a relatively inexpensive process, so there’s no reason not to do it!

Replace Timber stumps with Concrete stumps

Replacing your timber stumps with concrete stumps is a great way to fix the problem of an uneven floor. Concrete stumps are much more stable and will not move around like timber stumps can. This means that your house will be level and your floors will be even.

Concrete stumps also last longer than timber stumps, so you won’t have to worry about replacing them for a long time. And if you do ever need to replace them, it’s a relatively easy process.

So if you want to fix the problem of an uneven floor, consider replacing your timber stumps with concrete ones!
